Rachel graduated from UC- Davis with a B.S. in Wildlife Biology and an emphasis in Wildlife Health. She has always been drawn to animal medicine and while getting her degree spent years working in general practice and volunteering in wildlife rehabilitation, particularly with birds of prey. She also participated in research and education, promoting community involvement in caring for native species. She plans to attend veterinary school and study avian & exotics, wildlife, or zoological medicine. When not working and pursuing further studies she enjoys hiking with her family’s two dogs Mysti and Pepper, avidly reading, and skiing in Tahoe.
